Opinions

After reading about the meltdown of Jason Russell, director of the Kony2012 video, I can’t help but be reminded of the truth we all too often lose sight of:
-People will always have an opinion of you and your efforts, but it is up to you to decide whose opinion truly matters.

No matter how pure our intentions or righteous our efforts, someone will always find a flaw in who we are and what we stand for.

So I pose this question to you: Who’s opinion of you truly matters?

-Is it your parents?… how about your significant other?... is it your own opinion of yourself?
-How about your friends… do their opinions really matter?

Sadly, all of these opinions will never ALWAYS be right.  So, who really defines us and our efforts?

I feel Jason’s wife has found the right answer to this question by the strength revealed in her voice when she states: “We’ll take care of Jason, you take care of the work. The message of the film remains the same: stop at nothing,"

Decide who defines your worth.
Stop at nothing.

  1. In answering your question, who defines your worth? I believe that one's worth is defined by himself. Only he has unbiased insight to his motivations, values, character and reasoning behind the choices he's made in life. Others that may form opinions of the person are basing their judgements off superficial information, because they are looking from the outside in. Only this person has a view from within, and that is the clearest vantage point. With that said, a person should listen to those that he cares for and respects, but ultimately decide for himself what is his worth.
